The USI/SM/HW10YR is a professional-grade hardwired smoke and fire alarm engineered for residential and multifamily installations. Powered by Universal Security Instruments' patented Sensing Plus Multi-Criteria Detection Technology, this photoelectric smoke alarm accurately identifies both slow-burning smoldering fires and fast-flaming fires while helping to reduce nuisance alarms from everyday cooking smoke and shower steam. The hardwired 120V AC connection with 10-year embedded alkaline battery backup provides uninterrupted protection during power outages for the full service life of the alarm.
