Product Description

USI/SM/HW10YR - Hardwired Photoelectric Smoke and Fire Alarm with 10-Year Battery Backup and Sensing Plus Multi-Criteria Detection

The USI/SM/HW10YR is a professional-grade hardwired smoke and fire alarm engineered for residential and multifamily installations. Powered by Universal Security Instruments' patented Sensing Plus Multi-Criteria Detection Technology, this photoelectric smoke alarm accurately identifies both slow-burning smoldering fires and fast-flaming fires while helping to reduce nuisance alarms from everyday cooking smoke and shower steam. The hardwired 120V AC connection with 10-year embedded alkaline battery backup provides uninterrupted protection during power outages for the full service life of the alarm. Interconnection capability links this alarm to compatible USI devices throughout the home - when one alarm sounds, every connected device sounds together, delivering critical early warning across every level. The Quick-Find Alarm Origination feature identifies which alarm triggered the event, saving critical time during an emergency. Compact 5.6 inch diameter profile mounts flush to ceiling or wall. Compliant with UL 217 and ETL listed. Ideal for new residential construction, multifamily buildings, rental property upgrades, and contractors replacing legacy hardwired smoke alarms.
