The Hansgrohe 3/4 in. 01850181 The iBox Universal Plus Rough valve is designed to make renovations a breeze. Once installed, the universal rough is compatible with standard hansgrohe and AXOR trims and shower products. It ensures easy, demo-free replacement of trims and fixtures for future upgrades – “one rough fits all” is the motto of the iBox rough in valve. Customizable Configure your ideal shower experience with Hansgrohe’s single-rough solution.

Supplies water flow to multiple outlets (showerhead, tub spout, Handshower, etc.). Select your desired thermostatic or pressure balance shower trim kit (and diverter, if needed) to pair with your universal iBox shower valve. Noise Reduction Rubber seals and trim carrier plate reduce in-wall vibrations and minimize noise transfer through the finished wall.

Pipe Connections Standard 3/4-inch pipe inlets. Compatible with 1/2-inch pipes (reducers not included) – and all pipe types (brass, PVC, plastics, copper, etc.). Maintenance PVC housing designed to penetrate finished wall surface to prevent leaks, as well as to allow direct access to water shut-off valves and for servicing without tile removal. Installation PVC housing is lightweight and allows unit to be trimmed to precisely fit your finished wall depth.

The patented Hansgrohe iBox Plus Universal Rough valve is designed with innovation, ease, and versatility in mind for long-term shower quality and enjoyment.


Multiple Mounting Options: Multiple mounting points and depth options allow the rough to be installed with any commonly used mounting system.	Versatile Installation: Installs easily in a standard 2" x 4" wall construction, as well as many special applications.

180-Degree Rotational Symmetry: Even if the rough is installed upside down, the trim can still be mounted to the rough, avoiding costly repairs.	Built-In Service Stops: The built-in service stops allow for easy servicing of the valve and other components.

Trim Includes Function Block: The function block is supplied with trim, not the rough, allowing the trim to be ordered later in the process. This may reduce theft and damage due to dirt or frost during the building phase.	Water-Tight Seals All Around: Rubber seals on the housing and carrier plate create a water-tight installation. Any potential leaks drain into the shower compartment, not into the wall.

Built-In Service Stops: The built-in service stops allow for easy servicing of the valve and other components.	Simplified Pipe Flushing: The rough can be easily flushed prior to installing the function block. Hot and cold water remain isolated while passing through the flushing insert.

Reduced Noise Transfer: The rubber trim carrier plate and seals minimize noise transfer through the finished wall.

Single Pressure Balance Function without Diverter Supplies water flow to a single outlet - showerhead, hand shower or tub spout. Pressure Balance example is shown (add Diverter for Thermostatic control or to switch water flow to different outlet). Recommended for Master or Secondary Bath.	Dual Thermostatic Function with Diverter Supplies water flow to one outlet at a time and diverts water to different outlets - showerhead, hand shower or tub spout. The thermostatic option controls temperature separately from the water volume. Recommended for Master or Secondary Bath.

Dual Pressure Balance Function with Diverter: Supplies water flow to a single outlet and diverts water to different outlets - showerhead, hand shower or tub spout. Pressure Balance option controls temperature and water volume with one lever. Recommended for Master or Secondary Bath.	Thermostatic Function plus Trio Diverter Supplies water flow to multiple outlets - showerhead, hand shower, body spray, or tub spout. Recommended for Master Baths.
